Grahame Richardson, London City Guide and Trinity Chambers Barrister, led members of Chambers and guests on a descriptive rampage of the City of London. In a fascinating 90 minutes we were treated to an unknown City history far from the genteel world of banking on his tour ‘Blood and Guts.’ This was definitely not for the faint hearted and there was hangings, beheadings, burnings, supressings and a smattering of cannibalism from St Pauls to Guildhall. But there was also a history of celebrations in fairs and popular entertainments and stories of two tyrant kings who bowed to public pressure for the general good.
Hopefully it has been the first of many!
