COVID-19 “Coronavirus” How it is changing the way we work
We are continuing to monitor the outbreak and the advice available from all sources. We will pass this on via this website under NEWS. We remain available to answer specific questions via telephone and email.
We are still able to provide all services on your behalf although some may be in a different form due to either the new legislation, the government’s recommendations and expectations or the advice we receive from professional, scientific and other bodies. We are pressing on with our plans to promote Private FDRs, (the tab above will let you download our e-brochure). Public access is still easily available for more and more types of cases. The Public Access tab above will link you to all of our services.
In the light of the recent increasing rate of infection we are implementing with immediate effect the following:
- Highfield House remains closed. Although the building is being monitored for security, all of our professional functions have been moved off-site. Meetings will only be conducted by remote means (Zoom, MS Teams, Skype, Facetime or telephone).
- Our barristers will be working from home and attending hearings by remote means in accordance with local and national guidance and protocols.
- Only electronic copies of documents will be accepted via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our telephone system allows us to forward calls automatically to barristers and clerks working at home so please call the usual telephone number 01245 60 50 40 to speak to us during business hours.
Please stay safe and comply with the medical advice regarding isolation and social distancing. The courts are still working but in a very different way. We are still providing representation in accordance with the courts’ new working practices. If you are already instructing a barrister please make contact with your representative. If you are considering giving instructions please contact us and we will discuss the options available.
We all hope that after the worst of this outbreak has passed we can return to usual business practices. Whilst the outbreak continues we will do our very best to represent your interests and offer you our full support and assurance that by working together in as safe a manner as possible we will be able to limit the impact on all of us.
