Public Law
Christine advises and acts for:
Local Authorities, particularly in cases involving complex legal or factual issues. Parents – especially those with learning difficulties, mental health or substance misuse issues. Children, interveners and grandparents. She appears regularly in the High Court.
She has wide experience of non-accidental injury cases and sexual abuse cases, including concurrent family and criminal law proceedings. She has acted for all parties in adoption proceedings and in the Court of Protection.
Christine regularly appears in the DOLS Court, acting for all parties.
Private Law
She has acted in many cases involving applications for special guardianship and in cases involving child abduction. She has particular expertise in the field of domestic violence. Her practice concentrates on representing children
Other
Christine has assisted in training DWP staff and Social Workers to develop their Court room skills and has often undertaken speaking engagements to train solicitors and has participated in events for schools and the public.
