Katherine Watson

Katherine accepts instructions in all of chambers’ core practice areas, and particularly welcomes instructions in all areas of family law.

Katherine has a busy private law practice, and regularly represents parents at all stages of proceedings, including first hearings, multi-day final hearings, and contested interim applications.

She welcomes instructions in financial remedy work, and has experience settling cases for her client at FDR.

Katherine also accepts instructions in all public law proceedings, and has represented parents, Local Authorities and guardians in a variety of hearings involving issues including substance abuse, domestic abuse and chronic neglect.

She is calm under pressure, highly organised and able to sensitively deal with clients managing their expectations whilst ensuring that their case is properly put before the Court.

Katherine joined chambers after the successful completion of her pupillage. Prior to coming to the Bar, Katherine spent 18 months working at the Family Court in Cambridge where she gained experience clerking for a number of senior judges.
